Alexa made her way back to TV last night with the second season premiere of Glam Fairy. Now the new wife — she married her boyfriend Danny Ziegler this summer — and mom to be tells us how she’s preparing for the new fabulous addition to her life, her soon-to-be born daughter Michaela!

How does is feel now to be a wife and an expectant mom?

It feels incredible. I feel like Danny has made me a better person. I never thought that I would be so excited to be a mom and to be a wife. I feel like perfected being a business owner and a makeup artist. Now I want to perfect being a wife and a mom. I don’t want to send my baby off with the au pair. I want to see every moment. I’m very excited and I feel very blessed and grateful over this new chapter in my life.

How are you going to glam up your nursery?

My nursery is being done by Bratt Decor. They did JLo‘s and Mariah Carey‘s nurseries. Mary, the owner, is doing the design concept. I’m really into pinks and blacks. I want to do the Chelsea crib, which is this gorgeous golden sleigh crib. The armoire will have “MZ” for Michaela and there will be tons of chandeliers. I really like pink and black for a baby’s room.

What tips do you give other expectant moms to stay fabulous and glamorous?

Mom my told me, “Just because your pregnant, that doesn’t give you a coupon to be fat.” Don’t think because you’re pregnant, every one should be doing things for you. Get up and do it yourself and keep moving. I run around every single day. Pregnancy is not an illness. Embrace it and run around. I think that’s what keeps you healthy.

Any pregnancy beauty tips?

I took my extensions out and did my hair a little bit darker. The trend I’ve been rocking is a darker lip, with chunky framed glasses. It’s a great way to quickly freshen up your look and stay current and trendy for a mom on the go.
