During Fashion Week,  it’s a beauty “free for all” … so what better time to have my stressed and dry tresses retouched by a master? I couldn’t resist getting dolled up by Jim, a RUSK Master Stylist, at Nolcha Fashion Week’s Fashion Lounge inside the YOTEL in midtown Manhattan.

Jim had a major task ahead of him – turning my wayward extensions into a set of bouncy curls. He got the job done, using RUSK W8less system, including Multi 12-in-1 Miracle Treatment and setting it with W8lesss Plus Hairspray. Fabulous!

We chatted during my transformation. Jim shared that the biggest mistake women make wit their hair is fearing the big chop. “They experience shorter hair when they are younger, then decide against it for a long time,” Jim said. Technology has made changes in cutting and styling, so “if you had a bad haircut in the past don’t allow that to make you fear change. There’s a whole new are approach to creating sexy feminine haircuts on women.

The celebrity Jim would love to see do a big chop, again? Demi Moore!

“She can wear a lot of hair a lot of different ways. But I would like to cut her hair short again, something sexier than a boy cut but not as severe as a bob.”
