Let’s face it, the wedding gown has haunted us all since we’ve dreamed of being a princess just like Kate… or maybe even Lady Di. The dress, the shape, the hue — brides of past and present, I admire you. To even begin the process of determining style and budget, or more so style versus budget, and I’m suddenly completely exhausted.
But all of my wedding dress fears calmed the moment the loft elevator doors opened and I stepped into David’s Bridal collection preview. My first steps in I was greeted by a stunning sleeveless gown highlighted by a form-fitting silhouette jewel beaded down to the train.

I had the pleasure of being invited to the launch event for Old Spice’s newest scents. There’s not enough lip gloss prepping and hair fixing in a cab to have ever prepared me for what I walked into.
This whirlwind of fascinating and finely featured men took me and my frizzed out ‘do for a second trip to the compact. The moment I checked my McQueen blazer and opened the Vuitton to prepare for a ticket I looked up and realized the coat check guy wasn’t your average coat check dude. No, here stood an Adonis promising an end to the single life any girl can hope for!
SINGL GAL: At The Source Fashion Editor’s Birthday Bash!
Fashions finest all came out to celebrate the birth of The Source magazine Fashion Editor OJ Williams at OVEST Pizzoteca in Chelsea on Jan. 23. With cakes by Baked by Melissa and SVEDKA on every table, this birthday bash was nothing less than absolutely fabulous!
The fashion scene attended with a vengeance. From spiked blazers to plaid skinnys, everyone looked their best. DJs Lenny Emery and TJ Mizell (he’s the son of Run DMC’s Jam Master Jay ) kept the crowd alive with a mix that wouldn’t allow you to take a seat.
Single Gal had a chance to chat and take a few pics with model Diandra Forrest, who looked stunning in a simple black turtle neck and boyfriend blazer with a printed skirt. Also on the scene was FlyGeenius CEO Davon Bean whose line has been worn by Nicki Minaj and Madonna.
Bean attended with Anthony Fiume (pictured right), debuting new promo bracelets for the “Save your Brain” campaign in partnership with Fly Geneeius.
Another gorgeous man that was spotted at the bash, designer Duckie Confetti, made Single Gal very happy!
Other celebrity guests included Socialite Karen Koeningsberg, Z100′s Skeery Jones, designer Samantha Black, stylist Alexa Winner, Jersey Shore’s Angelina Pivarnick, R&B/ Pop sensation Baiyu, D. Chamberz, rapper Par-City, Hot 97′s DJ Magic, songwriter Angela Hunte and TV DivaGal’s favorite guest of the night: America’s Next Top Model All Star Isis King.
This evening was the perfect night out for this single gal: surrounded by adorable single men, great music, and endless fashion; no complaints necessary!
