CBS PRESS TOUR Summer ’16! Millennial Stars Speak Their Voice. Matt LeBlanc Doesn’t Mind Working With Kids. PLUS: Hamilton News!By Delaina Dixon | August 11, 2016 | Entertainment
The millennial cast on The Great Indoors is having a blast with their show’s dialogue, because they get to write some of it. Along with the millennial staff writers, who are capturing “exactly the way I would talk,” according to series star Christine Ko, the young cast is getting to improvise and add lines when needed. Fellow millennial cast mate Shaun Brown shared that the writers allow them to change pop culture references if they don’t get something because it was before they were born!
Hamilton fans rejoice! Christopher Jackson, who plays our first president George Washington, has joined the cast of Bull — but he’s not leaving the Great White Way. “I’m the luckiest dude in the town right now,” Christopher shared with the DivaGals. His two projects are working in tandem to get him out of work early enough to get to the theater. But if he does have to shoot late, his understudy gets to go on. And he gets the rare night to tuck his young children into bed at bedtime!
#WBWD Matt LeBlanc of Friends‘ fame has a new show coming to CBS called Man With A Plan. In it, the real-life dad play a contractor turned stay-at-home dad who has his own brand of parenting. And unlike the old saying, “Never work with kids or animals,” Matt likes working with his youngest co-stars. “The kids’ energy is they are just having fun. So for me it’s a constant reminder that this should be fun,” he shared during his series’ press tour panel. Matt also shared that it’s actually really nice spending time with his on-camera kids because they aren’t worried about ratings or time slots, they’re just worried about spilling their orange juice in front of the studio audience … and they’re excited whenever cookies are brought on set! Man With A Plan premieres on the network in October.
