Four Hot Spots To Chow Down When You’re Diva-ing In Los Angeles

Hello Divas! TV DivaGal has just finished an amazing week in Los Angeles (check out my Instagram DelainaDixon for a visual tour), and I admit, I spent a lot of time eating. Luckily, I was chowing down in some of the coolest spots in Los Angeles! Next time you’re planning to hit the West Coast, make sure you peep these top restaurants and lounges!

Crustacean (Beverly Hills) For incredible Vietnamese food and creative cocktails, swanky Crustacean is the place to be. Founded by Helene “Mama” An, there’s a secret kitchen that houses all the family’s well-guarded recipes (even veteran waitstaff aren’t allowed to enter!). From a menu filled with tapas, rolls, soups, salad and main dishes, we lunch dined on Shaken Beef (filet mignon and cabbage), Steamed Filet of Sole with baby bok choy and of course, Mama An’s Famous Vietnamese Pho. The meal paired perfectly with a Lavender Mijoto. This is a great place for celeb watching, especially If you’re upstairs where there’s an exclusive clandestine passageway that leads to private upstairs dining for the likes of Beyonce and Jay.

Liasion Restaurant + Lounge (Hollywood) A VIP invite to the Liaison Restaurant + Lounge (pictured up top) private opening reception had me sipping artisan cocktails and nibbling light bites at what’s to be L.A’s newest hotspot. American Idol judge Randy Jackson was loving the decor, which includes a retractable roof and cascading trees, alongside  Shahs of Sunset‘ s Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi and  Shervin Roohparvar and model Shaun Ross. We loved the cocktail menu’s spicy margaritas and iced rum.

Cleo (Hollywood) Nestled inside the Redbury Hotel, this Mediterranean eatery is one hot ticket. The place is packed by 6 p.m. with a theater crowd looking to make their 8 p.m. curtain in the theater next door. Luckily, Cleo’s staff is efficient (and gorgeous) and bring out platter after platter in record time. What should you try? What shouldn’t you try? Their signature Brussels Sprouts or Shishito Peppers? One of their dips, oven baked dishes, flatbreads, meats or fish? Whatever you do, save room for the Sticky Toffee pudding. It’s delicious!

PlaceInvaders (Everywhere) Driving up to a secret bungalow in the Hollywood Hills, I didn’t know what to expect. But once I walked through the door and was handed a Zacapa rum punch, TV DivaGal knew it would be a good night. PlaceInvaders’ innovative pop-ups bring together foodies for a night of great dining and conversation in unexpected residencies. The night’s meal, designed by star caterer Igor Ladyjensky, was made especially to pair with inspired rum drinks like young beets and yogurt foam and spiced rum manhattan. We also enjoyed beef tartare, pork cheeks and apple tatine. What an experience! Ready to  “invade” in your hometown?
