TV DivaGal spent the week at TV Press Tour Winter 2016 this week… and here are some of the GAL APPROVED moments she loved!

CHANCE TO BE FIRST LADY? Arriving at the Langham in Pasadena, the first star I encountered was Tony Goldwyn, better known as President Fitzgerald Grant on ABC’s Scandal. Thought of offering my hand as the new First Lady since Olivia Pope no longer seems to want the position.

RUSHED HOUR. We already told you how Rush Hour series creator Bill Lawrence defended the upcoming comedy in the CBS show. We’re happy to share that Jon Foo (pictured up top) is honored to be a part of the project. “I’ve shot some movies action movies before, but this has been the biggest acting experience of my life up to this date, really,” he revealed during his CBS show panel. Can’t wait to see what he brings to the screen!

SantinoFontana

DOUBLE INTERVIEW. Chatted with Santino Fontana, star of The CW’s Crazy Ex Girlfriend AND  NBC’s Shades of Blue about starring in NBC’s next musical production Hairspray. He’d be the perfect Corny Collins!

THE EMPIRE REIGNS AGAIN! Rejoice1 Fox announced this morning that it’s picked up Empire for a third season, along with a second run for Scream Queens. And Prison Break is back as the “ultimate escapist event series.” We don’t know what that means, but we’ll take more Wentworth Miller anytime!

MORE CHI-RAQ! At the press panel for NBC’s Chicago drama triology: Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med – executive producer Dick Wolf revealed he’s ready to bring in a fourth companion show. “It would be in the legal system,” he theorized, though there are no plans to do one yet.

ST. ELMO’S SPARK. Running into #WBWD Andrew McCarthy who stars in ABC’s The Family as the wrongly accused, and in one of the best movies from the eighties, St. Elmo’s Fire, the veteran actor confirmed that we’re neighbors in my NYC neighborhood. He says, “Next time, make sure to say hello.” Yes, sir!

CarmichaelShow

THE WIZ, PART II. David Alan Grier bringing up his destined-to-be-iconic portrayal of the Cowardly Lion in The Wiz Live! at The Carmichael Show panel to answer a question if his sitcom character is the black Archie Bunker. Yep, I’m scratching my head too (but he’s still a comic genius!).

SHARP DRESSED MAN. Caught #WBWD Damian Lewis looking sharp in the pages of Variety and thought the outfits he’s going to rock in Showtime’s Billions are going to be fantastic. Watch the new series – which chronicles the lives of cutthroat world of multi-million investing – when Billions premieres on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.

RideAlong2

HART-LESS. We’ve seen so much of Kevin Hart this week as he promotes his newest flick Ride Along 2, from a guest spot on The Bachelor to morning news show Today, TVDivaGal kinda expected him to crash Press Tour (he didn’t, boo!). We still got the message: see Ride Along 2 opening nationwide today!
