Wonderful Halos. Their commercials alone make us want to bring this happy fruit into our homes. Warm up this season with a Halos Spiced Merry Mandarian Cider – recipe below!
1 1/2 cups Halos mandarin, juiced
1 1/2 cups apple juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1 stick of cinnamon
1 star anise
1 teaspoon whole allspice
Thinly sliced Halos mandarins for garnish
Instructions: Juice mandarins and lemons, then strain out pulp and set aside. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until sugar has dissolved and juices are hot. Serve garnished with a thinly sliced Wonderful Halos mandarin, a couple of allspice, and a star anise.
Add a shot of rum, bourbon, whiskey or brandy for a little kick!
Sometimes you just feel like a nut! Try adding some pistachios to your favorite dishes like salads and snacks. Wonderful Pistachios are lower in calories than most nuts while providing 90% of the “good” fats your body needs. Plus they are very filling!
