GAL APPROVED! Chanel Omari Hosts a Locks of Love Fundraiser!By Chanel Omari | November 27, 2013 | Entertainment, Style
Our newest celebrity contributor, Chanel Omari of Bravo’s Princesses: Long Island, takes us inside her “Beauty Night Out” for Locks of Love!
‘Tis the season for giving back. That’s why my co-star Amanda Bertoncini and I hosted a “Beauty Night Out” for the Locks of Love organization at Blow Me Away Blow Dry Bar on Long Island on Sunday, Nov. 17. It was for everyone to have a chance to embrace her inner princess by giving back.
Now, if you’ve watched our show, you know the Princesses can be full of conflict onscreen – and that didn’t stop at our event.
Amanda and I were caught wearing the same dress that evening. Luckily, they were in different silhouettes from one of our favorite designers: Torn By Ronny Kobo collection.
Guests who attended our fete paid a small donation to receive complimentary blowouts and haircuts, under the watchful eye of celebrity stylist Julius Michael (known for doing all the Housewives franchise’ hair), and complimentary makeovers by RICH Makeup Studio and Make Up For Ever. Makeup artist Cynde Watson gave everyone lashes that allowed everyone to bat their eyes like a pro. All proceeds were donated to the Locks of Love organization.
The evening’s sponsors also included No No Hair and Shine Dental. Model/actress from the new Netflix hit series Orange Is the New Black Reilly Stith made a special DJ appearance, and got the crowd to get low with the princesses on the dance floor!
It was an incredible night, and great to see everyone come together in the community and help support and allow us reality stars to really make a difference!
