SUPPORT. The DivaGals spent once glorious evening tasting the dishes of four-time James Beard chef, restauranteur and #WBWD Michel Nischon, one of four honored at the Orthopaedic Foundation 13th Anniversary Gala inside New York City’s Grand Hyatt.
The chef gave us a tour of the kitchen to introduce us to his dishes for the night, which included a winter slaw of kale and butternut squash dressed with almonds and basil.
The veggies were topped slow-cooked ribs (or more roasted squash for vegetarians). We also enjoyed a seared scallop (or seared marinated tofu) over ancient grain risotto. Michel explained he and the hotel’s executive chef wanted the night’s menu to have a seasonal feel with cured winter vegetables and hearty grains. And we enjoyed every bite!
The Orthopaedic Foundation was created as a not-for-profit (501) C (3) organization whose primary function is to effectively promote, support, develop and encourage research and education concerning minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery and advancements in musculoskeletal diseases.
