GAL APPROVED! Gauctailing With Dos Caminos! Plus: Dreamy Wines and Pickles!By The DivaGals | July 8, 2016 | Gal Approved
SIP. What’s better than a glass of chilled white wine when the temperature soars? One of top choices is Dreaming Tree Wines.
At their New Your City summer soiree, we got to try their Sauvignon Blanc expertly paired with grilled zucchini, and Dreaming Tree Chardonnay with grilled halloumi with strawberry, figs and honey. And once the sun goes down? Switch to Dree Tree’s Pinot Noir! Yes, there’s a wine for anytime of a summer day! See more delicious pics on our DivaGals FB page.
TASTE. It’s picnic season! Did you know pickles are trending? We discovered Donostia Food’s Banderillas with Gherkins. It’s skewers of pickled gherkins, onions, olives, red peppers and guindilla peppers, and the combo is super popular in Spain. Crunchy delicious and refreshing, you and your dining companion will love them! Bonus … They are low-calorie too!
EAT. When we think of summer, we think of fruity margaritas. And what goes hand and hand with the sweet concoction? How about some tasty guacamole! At Dos Caminos, the popular Mexican restaurant with locations in New York City and New Jersey, we got to indulge in both! The company has launched #Gauctailing to bring the natural pair harmoniously together. At a tasting in Dos Camino’s location in New York City’s Meatpacking district, we tried guacamole with watermelon and feta; with chorizo; and our ultimate fave, with lobster. For the carb-conscious, Dos Caminos served their gauc with sliced, salted cucumbers!
The restaurants also offer a wide selection of margaritas, including their own skinny version with agave and lime.
Best of all, some of our DivaGals took the plunge to make their own gaucamole creation – did someone just add cricket and pickled ginger? Get your #gauctailing on at one of Dos Camino’s delicious locations.
