KICKED IT IN HEELS 10/18/17. The annual event started by our own Dr. Janna Andrews will celebrate its fifth fundraiser at New York City’s Beautique! Hosted by CNN commentator Angela Rye, this year will honor COO and EVP of New York Presbyterian, Dr. Laura Forese and media executive/community activist, Keisha Sutton James. And DJ D-Nice will be spinning. Kicked It In Heels focuses on breast cancer survivors, specifically young women and women of color to eradicate health care disparities in breast cancer and to promote health in survivorship. CRUNCH GOES PINK 10/21/17. Give to the cause while getting in shape! Iconic gym Crunch is hosting a morning of classes at 404 NYC: four-yoga based and four-dance based w/silent headphones (45 minutes each). Attendees receive a tote bag, tank, towel and a yoga mat with yoga classes, and can enjoy vendors likeJust Salad, Fresh, Bliss and Sweat Cosmetics, just to name a few. Celebrity hair salon Angelo David Salon and NYC radio station 95.5 PLJ have partnered once again for “Blow Out Breast Cancer.” On Wednesday, Oct. 25, the East Side-based salon is offering gift bags, hors-d’oeuvres, wine and surprise guests from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Book a $25 blowout, and all proceeds will be donated to the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.
