NBC TV Press Tour Summer ’18: All The Things You Need To Know About Brooklyn Nine-Nine – Now on NBC!By Delaina Dixon | August 8, 2018 | Entertainment
Fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, time for the channel switch. The comical cop story is now on NBC!
Of course, you have questions. How will things change? How will they stay the same? We got you answers – read below!
Is the tone and voice of the show changing? “The mandate from NBC is we know this show, we love this show – please keep making the same show,” declared executive producer Dan Goor during the series panel, adding that there are “no changes in our approach to the show.”
What will be the storyline for a married Jake and Amy? “I can’t wait to see really small detail oriented storylines about their finances,” joked star Andy Samberg, to which his on-screen wife Melissa Fumero replied, “That day when they combine their bank accounts,” and pointed on that it will be fun to explore their new domestic life and what “they’ll make new bets on,” seen through the lens of marriage.
Will contemporary issues continued to be explored? Indeed. The storyline of Rosa revealing her bisexuality will continue, and the series’ executive team is interested in doing a #metoo episode. That will mean a lot to star Terry Crews, who shared his own #metoo moment last year. “Being here and being safe, having friends and family on the show, I could actually tell my truth and still go to work,” he thoughtfully shared during the panel.
What about the annual Halloween Heist? “No, we’re not going to abandon the Halloween heist,” declared Goor. Now it’s just of matter of who will come out on top!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine comes to NBC midseason.
