One Very Good Reason To Watch Hustle & Soul on WE tv!By Adriana P. | March 28, 2017 | Entertainment
WE tv’s new culinary docu-series Hustle & Soul may be its next great hit. Why? Well, Lawrence Page, owner and head chef of Brooklyn-based soul food restaurant The Pink Tea Cup, has one goal in mind, and it’s all about the stars.
The series chronicles Lawrence, a young black chef, and his staff who struggle to get along as he’s aiming to get his first Michelin star. Lawrence has got keep his staff from burning all his chances.
We’ve got a feeling he’s gonna do it. At a VIP screening party in NYC last week, Lawrence revealed that he was homeless for nearly three years while trying to revive the former West Village landmark in Brooklyn.
After the screening, we dined on signature items from The Pink Tea Cup’s menu, including self-taught chef Lawrence’s famed chicken & waffles and macaroni & cheese, as well as the restaurant’s highly popular cocktail, Savannah Iced Tea, yum. Questlove spun the after-party beats.
Hustle & Soul airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. on WE tv.
