WATCH. We all love a good fashion bargain. The new Style Network series Resale Royalty revolves around Women’s Closet Exchange in St. Louis, Mo. a thriving business that resells designer items, making “one woman’s has been’s another woman’s must-haves!” As a die-hard New Yorker, I was surprised to see that the show didn’t take place in NYC – but hey, great fashion at discount prices should be available everywhere! It’s run by mama bear Sue McCarthy and her two daughters Diana and Laura, who still fight over jeans, albeit they’re Dolce & Gabbana now. The show is pretty formulaic – you’ve got your angelic employees who can do no wrong (yet!), and your feisty ones — this one in the form of Dena who’s loud and brash and peeves off customers enough to get pulled into the boss’ office in the first episode. (You mean to tell me it took until now, once the cameras were rolling, for her to get reprimanded?) Still, there’s something so alluring about seeing Prada, Chanel and Jimmy Choos at discount prices – seriously discounted as they are at WCE. “We cater to the average woman, so our prices reflect that,” Diana told me at the Resale Royalty premiere party in New York City inside What Goes Around Comes Around, a high-end vintage shop. We also discussed her $49 shopping bus trip, which includes a gourmet lunch and discounts at every store you pop into. This DivaGal just may be buying a ticket to St. Louis to indulge! Tune in for the series premiere of Resale Royalty Sunday, May 12 at 9 p.m. on Style. Better yet, turn your TV on an hour early to also catch the series premiere of XOX Betsey Johnson, which is all about the iconic designer.

STYLE DIVAS: How To Get the Look From “Fashion Loves Animals” Vegan Runway Fundraiser!
The “Fashion Loves Animals” runway Saturday night, a vegan-friendly benefit for Farm Sanctuary – a haven for abused and abandoned farm animals – included eco-friendly fashion and accessories from Vaute Couture president and Creative Director, Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart and all vegan makeup, courtesy The Body Shop.
The models looked ethereal coming down the runway (a few with adorable pups that could be adopted from the Humane Society). Khadija Amon-ra, Lead Make-up Artist for The Body Shop, tells us how she got the look.

Here’s more on their first 365 days as husband and wife–from never going to bed angry to date night!
What are the biggest challenges you face in your marriage?
TINA: Oh my god, do you have an hour? Honestly, we thought our newlywed year would just be so blissful, but it’s been moments of bliss, wrapped in tragedy and drama. We’ve unfortunately had so many issues, from Tarz having basically zero baby-making time due to working 20 hours, seven day a week workdays for the start-up he co-founded called Pandoodle, and me having to sacrifice my music career for this marriage, to my dad and Tarz having a horrible relationship due to my mom’s recent tragic passing from breast cancer, and much more. It’s just been insane.

INSPIRATION GAL: Believe Yourself To A Better Life!
Sometimes we are our own worse critic. We say things to ourselves that no one would say to us unless they were trying to start a fight. We criticize our success at work, our weight, our ability to find love, and much harsher than our most critical friend could ever do.
When you feel insecure and unsuccessful, you must not dwell in these feelings. Instead you must flip the script: concentrate on who you want — and can — be!
Declare that you are successful, loveable and in shape, even if you feel you are not. Don’t just think these things as a passing thought: let it be your mantra. Whatever area you feel you are weak in, declare it as your strength instead.
Everytime someone calls your name or you take a sip of water, declare you are successful, beautiful, loveable — and any other words you need to empower the new you — even if you don’t feel it (it’s like the old saying goes: sometimes you have to fake it until you make it).
Remembered you are capable to be whatever you want to be. Concentrate on what you can be and own it!
I know you’re saying to yourself, “Inspiration Gal, why would I do that? It’s not true, and it won’t change anything.”
My dear Divas-in-turmoil. It’s not true — yet! Once you declare something positive, and start to be believe it’s true, the ways you can get there will start to unveil themselves to you. Seek out these moments, follow their paths, and your life will start to change for the better!
