The new sitcom Rel, starring Get Out’s Lil Rel Howery, premieres on FOX tonight. At the NYC premiere screening at AMC Magic Johnson Theatre in Harlem, N.Y., we did notice that only one actress is throwing down on the series. Instagram star/comedian Jess “Hilarious” Moore plays Tiffany, Rel’s best friend.

So how does this gorgeous and funny woman (with killer legs!) hold the cast of male comedians and comic actors in their place?

“That’s why they got me because I keep people in their place,” Jess declared to us on the carpet.

Well, most of them.

“I can never keep my cool around Sinbad,” she declares. The iconic comedian plays Rel’s outspoken dad on the series. “I can’t even explain it. He doesn’t go by lines. So when we are actually filming, he don’t say nothing that’s supposed to be in the script.”

Jess gives Sinbad a pass because, “he’s a veteran. He’s an OG and he’s one of the funniest dudes I’ve ever met.” Not only is he an amazing person, “but he teaches me. Now he’s got me doing what he does.” Jess added with a chuckle, “But I’m not a vet. So I can’t do it again, cause then you get fired!”

We couldn’t get enough of Jess’ red carpet look. “I’m a tomboy at heart, so I got the Justin Bieber hair and the button-up oxford. From here to here, I’m boy,” Jess declared, pointing to her upper body. “but from there to there (waist on down) I’m party girl!” Get your own version of Jess’ sequin skirt here.

Make sure to tune in tonight for the series premiere of Rel, Sunday, Sept. 9 after NFL on FOX.
