ROMANTIC FALL GETAWAYS. Take Your Bae To … Atlantic City!

Hey Divas! Fall is officially here… That means it’s time to keep warm by snuggling up with your bae, and why not do it in a brand new setting? That’s why we’re kicking off our new travel series ΓÇ£Romantic Fall Getaways.ΓÇ¥ First stop? Atlantic City, N.J.!
Atlantic City is located on Absecon Island, just a two hour bus ride from New York City. It’s been the home to the Miss America pageant since 1921, and is the inspiration for the game Monopoly.
Arriving in town we made our way to our home for the night, Resorts Casino and Hotel, located over 11 acres that spill out onto the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
Our room was in Ocean Tower, a renovated space with a huge closet (a plus for us city dwellers), and a walk-in shower big enough for two. We also had a lovely view of the boardwalk from our window.
They say it’s always 5 oΓÇÖclock somewhere, so we enjoyed happy hour cocktails at Margaritaville, located right on Resort’s┬ápremises, in late afternoon.
Resorts spills right out onto ACΓÇÖs picturesque boardwalk, and we spent a couple hours to make our way down its wooden planks.
Your man may want to stop at one of the many souvenir shops that sells sports team/superhero hybrid t-shirts. Let him. You’ll be able to take a Miss America pic farther down the boardwalk.┬áWe then hopped a tram back to our hotel, a perfect time to hold hands while you roll.
Our appetites in check, we made our way to┬áGallagher’s Steakhouse, the “best steakhouse” on the boardwalk. So it only made sense to order three courses to satisfy our cravings.

After gorging ourselves it was time to burn calories and money inside┬áResorts’┬ácasino. His game of choice was Blackjack. Hint: start off slow at the $10 a-head tables. And make sure to enjoy the complimentary Pina Coladas on the casino floor. Back in the room we enjoyed our decadent chocolate cake from Gallagher’s and some more decadent activities.
Morning time is the perfect time to hit the resortΓÇÖs jacuzzi. Housed under a glass dome, it’s┬áone of the biggest we’ve ever seen.
On nice days, lounge on the outside patio and enjoy the view.
No trip would be complete without breakfast. We headed to Buca di Beppo Atlantic City, which offers breakfast until early afternoon and a breakfast buffet on weekends.
A perfect way to spend a day and night in America’s Playground!
