TV PREMIERE WEEK! Three Reasons To Watch Will & Grace Again On NBC (No. 2 Makes Us Smile!)By Delaina Dixon | September 28, 2017 | Entertainment
Divas! The iconic series Will & Grace returns to NBC tonight! We’ve got three reasons why you should watch the show, which ended the first time 11 years ago, in its newest formation.
1. The show will NOT pick up from where the series ended in 2006 with Will and Grace’s respective kids meeting and (presumably) falling in love in college. “Happy endings are not fun,” joked Eric McCormack at NBC Press Tour Summer ’17. This incarnation will concentrate on the quartet’s friendship dynamic more than future life milestones.
2. The series has always been about inclusion with its lead gay characters. In it’s newest form, it will include “more racially diverse experiences for the cast,” though the powers that be admitted that they were still trying to figure that one out themselves. Our advice: give Will and Grace some black friends!
3. Being inclusive means including everyone, even Trump supporters. The revived Will & Grace came from a skit the cast did during the 2016 election season, where Karen is a staunch Trump supporter. “Since Will and Grace didn’t get who they wanted in office, it will be interesting to see how the current political difference affects their friendship,” the cast shared.
Will & Grace is back tonight, Thursday, Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
