DivaGals contributor Angela Yvonne speaks with TLC’s Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas and Glee’s Harry Shum Jr., judges on Fake Off, premiering tonight!

“How did they do that?” is what you will be saying when truTV’s Fake Off airs tonight!

The premise of the show is taking acrobatics, technology, black light and illusion to illustrate moments in pop culture. Ten teams will have the opportunity to win $100,000 and become the ultimate Fake Off. I chatted with judges Chilli and Harry about their judging styles and why TLC’s “C” was drawn to the show!

What made you want to do this particular show; what drew you to it?

Chilli: I always want to be part of something fresh and exciting. This is something that a lot of people have never seen or even heard of. I take entertainment on any level very seriously, and to be part of a show that will revolutionize how to captivate the audience, that is important and why I knew I had to be part of it.

What kind of judges are you and you judging styles?

Harry: Judging for me is critical and technical: How well they may tell the story can also make you forget some technical things. The element of storytelling is important. I am brutally honest as a judge and it sometimes comes out wrong. At the end of the day I just want them to win in their art.

Chilli: I am an honest and not mean as a judge. For me, I look at everything from, “Did I believe the story” to wardrobe and how it was told. I guess I would say it is about the feeling. I give constructive criticism because as an artist you are sensitive about your art. Also, if they have greats abs, that’s a definite plus, LOL!

Fake Off premieres Monday, Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. on truTV.
