Why Josh Hopkins Really Needs Cougar Town To Get A Season TwoBy Delaina Dixon | August 27, 2009 | Entertainment
Do you know this face? Cougar Town’s Josh Hopkins has been on a ton of TV shows.
“But people always think they know me from the gym or the grocery store,” he says.
So why isn’t Josh always recognized for his chosen profession? All the series he’s been a lead on have had a short shelf life!
“I’ve never been a regular on a show that’s gone to a second season,” laments the actor, who appeared as Rebecca Romijn‘s work rival/love interest on the 2006 comedy series Pepper Dennis, and as a tormented married man in love with his neighbor on Swingtown last year.
“No one wants it more than I do. That would be great.”
Speaking of Swingtown, the show that explored the open marriage culture of the Seventies (and was TV DivaGal’s guilty pleasure!), ended way too soon with Josh’s character, Roger, alone in a hotel room with said neighbor.
So Josh spill, did they finally get it on?
“Though it was really never discussed, I would assume once it got to that point, it happened,” he shares. “I think they went all the way.”
We couldn’t have gotten one more episode for that scene? Maybe on the DVD!
Catch Josh on his new series, Cougar Town, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.
