Jay Z & Drake Battle!

Last month, Drake reportedly trashed Jay Z’s musical references to art in an Rolling Stone magazine interview, stating “It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references . . . I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.” Hova’s been silent about it for the last month, but MediaTakeOut.com has Jay Z’s response, and he’s doing it musically, of course. In his latest Jay Electronica mixtape, Jay says

“Sorry Mrs. Drizzy [Drake’s Twitter Handle] for so much art talk
Silly me, rappin’ ’bout **** that I really bought
While these rappers rap about guns that they ain’t shot
And a bunch of other silly **** that they ain’t got.”

Looks like the battle is on!
