And the Emmy Goes To…

E25HBOsideModern Family‘s Sofia Vergara (who earned a supporting actress nod this morn!) and Community‘s Joel McHale had to get up stupid early to announce the 2010 Primetime Emmy nominations this morning, which aired live on NBC. But it was totally worth it!

For Outstanding Comedy, it’s no big brainer that Glee is on the list, along with fellow newcomers Modern Family and Nurse Jackie, along with comedy nominee regulars Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office and 30 Rock.

Matthew Fox finally got the recognition he deserves with a Lead Actor nom for playing a low-key doctor on the now RIP Lost . And looks like the Academy is having a little fun — at NBC’s expense — by giving The Tonight Show… With Conan O’Brien a nod for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy series. TBS is laughing that home all the way to the bank!

So who gets the nod for all those pensive looks in Outstanding Drama Series? Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Good Wife, Lost, Mad Men and True Blood. Tasty!

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards airs live Sunday, August 29 at 8 p.m. on NBC. For the complete list of nominees, click here.
