Well DivaGals I’ve officially completed my 30 days to Best Body Ever and I have to say, it worked. I feel lighter, tighter and healthier than I have in a long time. Better yet, I’m more motivated than ever to keep striving for even more goals to be the healthiest version of me.
So was it easy? Heck no. With twice daily workouts and cutting back on everything it pretty much stunk at the beginning. But about halfway through, the workout schedule and pains were a welcomed soreness, and the urge to drink more or less faded away.
So here are the stats: I loss about 4.5 lbs. It’s mostly seen in my arms, boobs and surprisingly belly. My trainer Chris Weible from Mercedes Club NY explains that weight loss usually works its way down the body. But hereΓÇÖs what I really dig. When I started on June 1, my body fat was nearly 30 percent. Now itΓÇÖs down to 25 percent. YES!
Feeling motivated? Ready to start your own 30 days to your best body ever? Here are my tips:
Hire A Trainer. When I first started with Chris, he said that you work out harder with a trainer. And he wasnΓÇÖt kidding. Chris designed a program specific to my needs and then pushed me to my limits while doing them. Make sure you find a person you jive with. Chris is fun and upbeat, he dances during sets and motivates with positive affirmations. It was a little goofy and fun, and took my mind off the grueling work. In New York City? Expand Your Fitness Horizons. IΓÇÖve enjoyed mixing up my program with the many classes offered at Mercedes Club and other fitness outlets. And I plan to continue my fitness journey. This Saturday, IΓÇÖm attending the Healthy GuruΓÇÖs inaugural fitness, fashion and beauty event of the summer, presented by Social Life and SHAPE Magazine. Alongside supermodel host Veronica Webb, IΓÇÖll take a full day of classes including Pure Yoga, Dance Body and Crossfit. If you want to get in on the action, tickets are $40 and proceeds will benefit the Southampton Arts Center. Visit healthyguru.com.
Eat Right. They say abs are made in the kitchen. And I would add ΓÇ£out of the bar.ΓÇ¥ If you really want to see definition, nix the alcohol. When I cut it out entirely for five days or more, I could see my abs. Also make sure youΓÇÖre getting the right nutrients. Getting my results from InherentHealth helped me figure out an optimal eating pattern for myself. MyFtinessPal is a great way to monitor your calories – remember you have to expend more calories than you take in to lose pounds, and this online tool keeps you honest.
