Black Business Month: Jacqueline Moore of CMRignite
By Maureen Martin | August 19, 2024 | The Soft Life
It’s Black Business Month, and we are excited to introduce Jacqueline Moore. She is the visionary founder and CEO of CMRignite, the largest Black-owned cause marketing agency in the United States. It started in 1995 when few Black people were running advertising agencies.
While based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, CMRignite has grown from a bold idea into a powerhouse agency that proves diversity is a strategic advantage.
The agency is a family-run enterprise, with her sons playing key roles. David Bowles serves as president, and John Bowles II serves as CFO. Their secret sauce for success is prioritizing integrity, collaboration, and community impact.
The agency’s commitment to diversity is reflected in its team, which is 70% Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities.
CMRignite is ahead of the curve in the advertising industry. Its Black chief creative officer, Black creative director and other minority leaders in key roles ensure that its campaigns resonate authentically with diverse audiences.
The agency’s impressive client roster includes the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the National WIC Association, the U.S. Department of Labor, the NAACP and others.
