Bond of Silence's Greg Grunberg Lets It Rip

ggrunbergbondosilencelifetimeIn Bond of Silence, airing tonight on Lifetime, Greg Grunberg loses it in one scene with his co-star Kim Raver. TV Diva Gal knows why.

The story, inspired by true events, follows the tragedy of Bob Hutchison, who died mysteriously while trying to quell a rowdy teen party, and his wife Katy‘s (played by Raver) search to find the killer despite the town that takes a code of silence to protect the kids responsible. Greg plays Paul Jackson, the detective assigned to the case.

“A lead I’m following turns out not to be the person, and I explode and lay into Katy a little bit out of frustration,” Greg says. “On my desk, there’s a picture of my character’s family, and I used my real family photo. From my POV in that scene, Kim is there and right below her is that photo. It was a really strong moment.”

Especially since it took Greg time to understand how the real life Katy, who visited the set during filming, got through the harrowing investigation, and the incredible choices she made after uncovering the truth.

“My first reaction would be I want to kill these kids,” Greg shares. “Katy’s an amazing woman, and I’ve learned a lesson from her behavior through all of this.”

While Katy and Paul’s character grow close during the movie, Greg reveals there’s no onscreen romance between the two characters, though he adds, “Kim and I made out every day in our trailers, I just love to work that way.”

Yeah, we know you’re joking, Greg. Gotta save up for your upcoming make out scene with Jennifer Love Hewitt in the new upcoming TV series Love Bites.

Bond of Silence airs Monday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
