“Brooklyn Bound” contributor Tsadiqwah Scarville gets her grub on at the Winter Hotdog Championship Series.
I love heels and handbags, but pub grub will always be the way to this galΓÇÖs heart! It’s been a busy few weeks for me, being the DivaGal that I am, even with a promotion at my production studio and hitting up fashion show after fashion show for NYFW, you know I found time to chow down on the most mouthwatering hotdogs in New York City again! I mean really, who doesnΓÇÖt love second servings?
Revolving Dansk brought back its one-of-a-kind beech-wood smoked, Danish style, polse sausages for its Winter Hotdog Championship series, held at JimmyΓÇÖs No. 43 in the East Village. Three gourmet hotdog recipes were handpicked by the trusted taste buds of beer lovers and friends of the owners, Martin Hoedholt and Sera Lavelle, who are so passionate about their polsers they even have a smoker smack dab in the middle of their living room!
Runner-up was the sweet and savory Mexi Dog, crafted to perfection with pico de gallo, guacamole, pickled jalape├▒os, and crunchy tortilla chips. With that lineup, what do you think it takes to be top dog?
It’s The God Morgen Dog! And a good morning it was! This baby is smothered with sriracha ketchup, jalapeno coleslaw, devil egg cream, and (insert drum roll, please) BACON! This winner had everyone’s tummy doing the happy dance!
The husband-wife duo says they travel far north to the best local, organic farmers for their 5-scale quality pork! The all-natural, nitrate free and antibiotic-free polsers can only been indulged at exclusive events at the moment, but starting this spring you can now bring this Copenhagen street dog home! Yes, Revolving Dansk is coming to organic grocers near you!
