TV DivaGal loves when America’s Next Top Model ΓÇô which returns to The CW next month ΓÇô does little updates on its former contestants. That’s why I’m catching up with some of its most memorable alum right up to the premiere!
I met Natalie Gal, better known as cycle eight runner-up Natasha Galkina, while at Sundance 2010.
The stunning Russian was breezing through town in between modeling gigs and a blossoming acting career.
“I’ve been pretty much traveling the world,” she shares.
“I was invited to do a movie short in Europe called Transportation about a girl in an airport who loses her luggage and she’s basically stuck because she doesn’t have any documents, and then she finds true love right there.”
Natasha, who studied acting in Moscow, also did a TV series in Italy called Angel and Demons. Now the single gal is tackling her biggest role in her first full feature.
“It’s called Trust Me, and it’s about the Italian Mafia in New York City. I’m playing a very broken character, a girl doesn’t have any family and is very lonely,” Natalie says.
“She’s caught up in this relationship where she’s being abused but she’s attached to her abuser, which very often happens to girls who get caught up in domestic violence, but she decides to change to her life. I just felt it would speak to a lot of girls.”
America’s Next Top Model, cycle 14, premieres March 3 on The CW.
