DANCING WITH THE STARS 13: Dancin’Boy Reveiws Episode 1!By DIVAGALS | September 20, 2011 | Entertainment
Dancin’Boy takes on the first episode of season 13!
What can I say? The entire night was a bit boring. The judges were kind with their scores. I think that the judges’ scores are a bit like a marker, but it’s really America who has the power by texting VOTE to their favorite contestants. I sent 10 votes to one contestant and one to another.
Here’s the thing, the highest score went to the Iraq vet-turned-soap-opera actor. Do I need to say anymore? JR Martinez will win — I mean, come on guys, he’s a real-life hero. Unless all the fans boycott him, or pull a Bristol Palin, that’s where a base of home viewers/voters text for a not so shoo-in candidate. Bar those two scenarios, JR’s gonna beat them all. Just sayin’.
Taking out the popular vote, here’s who did good in my eyes: Ricki Lake, Chynna Phillips, Rob Kardashian and Chaz Bono. They were better than I thought.
Sooo boring and bad were Kristin Cavaliari, Elisabetta Canalis (so bad, she’s going home first, right?), Hope Solo and Ron Artest. Hopefully these four are the first to go.
Carson Kressley was a laugh riot — in a good way — and made us all smile with his “Moves Like Jagger” Cha-Cha. I enjoyed David Arquette’s energy and effort. I’ve got it on pretty good authority that David has a Palin plan behind him, thanks to a campaign effort by Howard Stern, but I don’t think he’ll need the extra help; he looked very suave and debonair and will get votes on his own performance. Believe it or not, I think Nancy Grace didn’t do so bad … she was endearing and sassy to watch!
I’m gonna restate the obvious… Mirrorball to JR for the high scores/hero thing.
Full disclosure: I’m not really into any of these cast members, so I’m going to route for David, Nancy, Ricki and┬áCarson. But a big 10 to Brooke Charvet‘s new hair!
