Spoiler Alert! Major plot points from last night’s episode of Desperate Housewives!
TV DivaGal loved her holiday break, but was dying to find out who kicked the bucket after the plane crash on Wisteria Lane.
OMG, Susan’s ex-husband Karl is dead! Who’s going to be the neighborhood’s himbo?
Moments before learning of his death, Susan took a moment to reflect on what her life would have been if she had stayed married to Karl, and the pounds she would have gained because of it (and when she lost the weight, he still left her!). So she felt grateful after learning of his death, mainly because she had been smart enough to let him go.
Not so for current lover Bree, who had to be sedated after learning of Karl’s death. That is until she dreamed of their future life together, where she found him in bed with her yoga instructor. Maybe a paralyzed but devoted Orson isn’t such a bad life partner after all…
Angie Bolen certainly wasn’t complaining about her blackmailer Mona Clark’s death. She was too busy imaging what it would be like to spend the rest of her life behind bars. Orange really isn’t her color.
Of course, the saddest death was left for Lynette and family. Saving Gaby’s daughter Celia’s life put her own unborn twins in peril. The doctors prepped Lynette, telling her one twin might suffer developmentally, to which Lynette imagined the challenges of raising a disabled child, and the sheer pride she felt when he grew up to be a major success. While I was expecting to hear bad new after Lynette’s heart-tugging vision, learning of the baby’s death still brought a tear to my eye.
So we’ll spend the rest of the season watching our fave ladies process another major disaster on Wisteria Lane. They really need to just stay home before winter TV break!
