DISHING DIVA! Debra Messing and Will Chase: No Wedding Bells In Sight — EXCLUSIVE!By Dishing Diva | July 1, 2013 | Dish!, Entertainment
Don’t expect to hear wedding bells for Smash alums Debra Messing and Will Chase. The cutie couple isn’t looking to hit the altar, Dishing Diva learned exclusively at the screening premiere of Will’s indie feature, director Sania Jhankar‘s film Butterflies of Bill Baker, currently screening as part of the Manhattan Film Festival.
“I don’t know if there will ever be a wedding date. We’re pretty cool the way things are,” Will told us inside the movie’s cocktail reception at The DL rooftop on Manhattan’s Lower East Side on June 29. “Life is good and all is well.”
Will can relate to his latest role of a man looking for redemption and learning to forgive himself. He divorced ex-wife Stephanie Gibson in 2012, and started dating Debra, who ended her marriage to producer Daniel Zelman, in December 2011 after more than a decade.
“I don’t beat myself up much anymore. Life is hard,” Will confessed. “I got some awesome kids and me and their mom get along great, but we’re not married anymore. So that’s probably a thing you have to go through, and that’s OK, that’s the way life is.”
Both Debra and Will have children; Will actually brought his two daughters, Daisy and Gracie, to the screening. Devoted girlfriend Debra spent the evening snapping photos of her handsome beau and family.
Will’s prepping for his next project, the musical stage production of Little Miss Sunshine, and we already know what Debra, who wore a breezy Rachel Roy maxi-dress, will think of his performance, since the actress clued us in on how she felt about him in the movie.
“He’s beautiful,” she gushed to us. Awww.
Also in attendance for the night:┬áGossip Girl‘s Zuzanna Szadkowski and Sterling Jerins, who plays┬áBrad Pitt‘s daughter in World War Z, who both star in the movie, and VH1’s The Gossip Table personality, our own Diva-licious editor Delaina Dixon!
