DISHING DIVA! Lucy Liu Golden Globes Dress Pops Up Where?
By Delaina Dixon | November 20, 2013 | Dish!, EntertainmentIt’s rare that you actually get to see a dress worn by an A-lister to a major awards ceremony in the flesh, but that’s exactly what happened last week at The New York Women’s Foundation Gala: A Starlit Evening on Thursday night.
NY socialite and philanthropist Jean Shafiroff attended the festivities in a replica of the gown Lucy Liu wore to this year’s Golden Globes (where Lucy caused a major divide in fashion camps who either loved it or loathed it).
But it made sense: the evening was to honor the dress’ designer Carolina Herrera for her business acumen in a field still dominated primarily by men and her philanthropic endeavors. Carolina, who’s dresses the likes of Renee Zellweger, was on hand to accept her award.
