Diva Approved! Inside Fellow’s Espresso Series 1 Launch at House of Sound in New York City

When the DivaGals receive an exclusive invite to a gorgeous, multi-level mansion in Chelsea to test out the next evolution in precision home espresso, you know we make a beeline straight for the front door. Fellow recently celebrated the launch of their highly anticipated Fellow’s Espresso Series 1, an evening dripping with sophistication, flavor, and top-tier aesthetics.

After dedicating over 130,000 hours to engineering a machine designed to completely change the home espresso game, Fellow invited us to experience the magic firsthand on March 26. The spring weather was absolutely beautiful, and the extravagant House of Sound (formerly known as World of McIntosh) was buzzing with an insider crowd eager to sip and sample.

The drinks, of course, coffee-inspired, were nothing short of art! Our fearless EIC enjoyed a tequila-infused espresso margarita topped with foam, a surprise as she is not a coffee drinker! Each signature cocktail, finished by a coffee artist, was topped with the Fellow logo. With so much premium espresso “in the house,” we loved that the curated affogato bar offered both caffeinated and caffeine-free options so every attendee could indulge.
Let’s talk about the culinary experience, because the catered bites were incredibly distinguished. Chef Harper Zapf put immense thought into crafting elevated flavor profiles, carefully explaining the process behind his house-made chive elixir—an oil concentrate created by soaking fresh chive leaves. He used a delicate eye-drop of this elixir atop rich caviar, nestled inside a mini crispy crème fraîche cup made from buttermilk and garnished with a tiny purple flower. It was an absolute standout and our favorite treat of the night.
The venue itself was a star of the evening. While an elevator was available to whisk guests up to the roof, taking the stairs through the Chelsea townhouse was well worth the extra steps. We wandered through museum-like rooms showcasing high-end music equipment by the McIntosh Group before finally emerging onto the rooftop.

Of course, we had the fits to experience the beautiful, sweeping views of the city in the warm spring air. Whether it was sleek monochromatic cream, floral peplums or the iconic little black dress, every look goes with Fellow!
Between the tasty bites, the handcrafted drinks, and the extraordinary multi-level townhouse, it was a spectacular, divalicious evening. It was a night of espresso worth talking about, cocktails worth savoring, and company worth keeping.
