DIVA DISH! Nomadland Wins Golden Globe For Best Picture. Plus: Awards For Boseman, Day, Kaluuya and Boyega!

Congratulations to Chloé Zhao for winning Golden Globes for best director and best picture, drama, for her moving film Nomadland, which was reviewed by our own Geek Gal Caroline Cao.

Andra Day took home her first Golden Globe for her dramatic portrayal of Billy Holiday in the film The United States vs. Billie Holiday. The late Chadwick Boseman posthumously received the award for best actor in a drama for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, lovingly accepted by his wife.

Daniel Kaluuya took home the first award of the night, best supporting actor in a motion picture for Judas and the Black Messiah. Star Wars‘ John Boyega won best supporting actor in a series, miniseries or TV film for his role in Small Axe.
