Oh, Juan Pablo! The DivaGals wanted to love you so, but your homophobic comments, insensitive quips to your ladies and your inability to express your feelings for Nikki Ferrell (if you really have any!), we were majorly disappointed. Sounds like the Bachelor franchise was too. Now we hear that the executive team is determined to determined to have a friendly, genuine guy in the Bachelor chair, and we know who we’re rooting for — Arie Luyendyk Jr.!
Featured on season eight of The Bachelorette, the race car driver lost out on Emily Maynard‘s heart to Jeff Holm (we personally think Arie dodged a bullet!), and became a fan favorite during the After the Rose live broadcast, where he showed his softer, more genuine side while sharing his hurt feelings with Emily.
“Arie is still single, and ready to meet someone and start a family with someone he is madly in love with,” a source very close to the race car driver shares. “He knows there is a lot of responsibility in being the Bachelor, but he would take a hard look at the opportunity.” We agree! A rep for ABC tells us, “We never comment on casting rumors.”
Well, take note ABC! We already know that Arie is genuinely nice, easy on the eyes and a great kisser! He was born in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, but moved to the United States at a young age, as his father (two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk) pursued his own racing career in America.┬á And yes, Arie would definitely be open to dating any woman of every hue that he has a connection with – he doesn’t have a specific type. We love that! He’s a few weeks away from kicking off his first full racing season –opening April 5 near Las Vegas — in many years, yes this is a guy you could go full throttle with!
