DIVA ON THE RISE! Ashley Adams Launches Black Prana Magazine: The First Publication For Yogis Of Color — WATCH!
By Delaina Dixon | April 12, 2021 | FitnessDuring the height of the pandemic Ashley Adams, 500 RYT, studio owner, YTT curriculum producer, wife and mom saw the perfect opportunity to launch her passion project: Black Prana Magazine. This labor is love is the first publication dedicated, created, produced by and for Black and BIPOC yoga teachers and practitioners. I spoke to her about her journey and how she continues to do it all.
As a yogi who has been studying for over 10 years I have to admit it, it has occurred to me more than once that I was “the only” on the mat in class, but I grew up like that so there is a numbing effect that just exists. However, over the last few years that numbness many of us “onlys” have lived with is melting quickly, birthing some beautiful spaces for us.
Ashley didn’t let the numbness, non-inclusive yoga industry stop her from launching a much-needed outlet. She’s not only created a space, but she’s brought together a TRIBE! Check her journey below.
