DIVAGAL EXCLUSIVE: Sneak Peek of Fabulous Beekman Boys XEX Magazine December Cover Story!By The DivaGals | October 24, 2011 | Entertainment
Just in time for the release of their new cookbook, The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook,┬áJosh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge, the sexy duo of Planet Green’s series, The Fabulous Beekman Boys, grace the December cover of XEX Magazine. Previewed exclusively here for the DivaGals before it hits the stands, Josh and Brent appear in a rustic chic fashion spread shot by acclaimed photographer Sailey Williams on location at their upstate New York farm.
Says Brent, “We had a great time on this photo shoot and Sailey made us very comfortable. We trusted Sailey’s vision; he wanted to do something creative and totally different than anything we had done before.” Adds Josh, “The stylist Inoisell Miranda was brilliant and convinced us to take some risks with the looks he chose. It was a very rustic, modern and chic tone with the farm as the backdrop and elements of old school glamour thrown in, and we are very pleased with the results.”
The photo shoot took place on location at Josh and Brent’s sprawling farm in Sharon Springs, N.Y. The photographer said he was drawn to Josh and Brent because they are “modern day entrepreneurs who represent a rare combination of honest morals and values with universal appeal. One of my goals was to capture their essence on camera by juxtaposing their modern day appeal with the old-school country scenery.”
The Beekman Boy’s XEX cover debut is just in time for the launch of the newest product from their lifestyle brand Beekman 1802, The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook, which was designed to be an heirloom itself (Josh and Brent gave Kim Kardashian a cookbook for her wedding present!)
The unique cookbook includes blank cards for each recipe that can be used to note the adaptations you have made to suit the particular tastes of your own family. You can also visit beekman1802.com and find the entry for each recipe and tell the community what you did to make it your own. This way, each recipe in the book becomes a thousand different recipes. You can even use the recipe cards to add your own original family recipes so that your family traditions live on as you pass down the cookbook down from generation to generation.
The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook can be found in bookstores everywhere and online at www.Amazon.com. Check out our exclusive peek below!
