Drop Dead Diva's Fred: Making a Play For Someone New!

Love makes you do funny things.

Like give up your angel wings for that someone special. Pretend you’ve been around the world when you’ve only been to the local world-food grocery store. And now, tonight on Drop Dead Diva, Fred will try to win Stacy’s heart yet again, by going out with other people. Huh?

“He dates a couple girls,” admits Ben Feldman, who plays the earthbound angel. But the dates are anything but heavenly.

“They’re probably not the way he sat down and imagined them,” Ben laughs to the TV DivaGal. “Fred remains consistent in his na├»ve state. He’s bumbling about and he’s not as smooth as I would hope.”

TV DivaGal should think not! Luckily, Fred’s antics don’t seem to bother Stacy too much.

“The mutual attraction and hope for Stacy does remain alive throughout the season,” Ben shares. “He doesn’t screw things up with her, that’s for sure.”

After all, the two have a cosmic connection.

“It’s a vibe between them, that’s what they’ve got,” Ben continues. “Fred is such a logical character. He doesn’t have experience on earth, so he sees everything through this student lens. His crush on Stacy is the most difficult thing for him to grasp because it’s something that he can’t explain.”

Don’t think it through so much Fred, just feel it!

Drop Dead Diva airs tonight at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
