Free Screenings and Exclusive Access: Tribeca Film Festival ’26 is on the Summer Bucket List

Still searching for bucket-list items to fill up your summer calendar?

If you’re a film junkie living in NYC (or planning an East Coast summer), the annual Tribeca Film Festival will be the hottest place to stop. This year’s festival is sure to be on everyone’s radar, with the festival marking its 25th anniversary with free outdoor screenings at Hudson Yards.

Down at the Husdon Yards Public Square, fans can catch screenings of shorts like Jane Austen’s Period Drama and The Short History of the Long Road (featuring Sabrina Carpenter) completely free of charge. Perfect for people looking to finally get that Letterboxd account up and running again.

As an added bonus, there’s a history-making moment in store for this year’s festival. For the first time, the Tribeca Festival Awards Ceremony is selling a limited number of public tickets for the event, set for June 11. In other words, it’s a big deal for the film-obsessed who want to be in the room with some of the biggest names in the industry: festival cofounders Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal. This year, fans will have the chance to watch them present the Founders Award at Spring Studios in Manhattan. Who better to give this year’s debrief on the state of the entertainment industry and celebrate the Tribeca Film Festival as a staple in the NYC arts scene?

And if you’re fully committed to a Tribeca takeover this June, the festival is re-screening some of the best premieres that took place across its quarter-century run for Tribeca at 25. It’ll be movies, good weather, and great vibes all around.
