GAL APPROVED WKD Hip Hop Nutcracker, Paintball With Celebs! Plus: Montego & Wine!

DO. Are you on the East Coast and ready to get your culture on? The Hip Hop Nutcracker is making holiday magic all weekend long! The famous ballet with TchaikovskyΓÇÖs famous score gets a modern update using hip hop dancers and movements in this exciting production. The story has also gotten a new address, taking place in contemporary Washington Heights on New Year’s Eve, and we hear has a unique twist in Act II! Another exciting addition is special guest MC, the ΓÇ£King of RapΓÇ¥ Kurtis Blow (he’s the man behind the hit Christmas Rappin‘), who opens the show. The Hip Hop Nutcracker plays Friday, Dec 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6 at NJPAC’s Victoria Theater in Newark, N.J., and plays again on Sunday, Dec, 7 at United Palace in New York City. PEACEFund is hosting a star-studded annual paintball tournament for the first time this weekend in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support children plagued by troubling issues. With a celebrity line-up that includes Robbie Jones (Tyler PerryΓÇÖs Temptation), Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi (Shahs of Sunset), Jackie Long (VH1ΓÇÖs Real Husbands of Hollywood), Jackie Christie (VH1ΓÇÖs Basketball Wives LA) and Booboo Stewart (X-Men: Days of Future Past), the weekend will also strive to set a world record for the largest paintball battle. In addition to benefiting PEACEfundΓÇÖs cause, this will be the first interactive paintball event that allows celebrities to represent their own charity, with the winning party choosing where proceeds will be donated, and you can actually sponsor a star, sweet! Are you so ready to get involved? Registration starts this Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8 a.m. at Camp Pendleton Paintball Park in Oceanside, Calif. The fun continues through Dec. 7.
