WATCH! BET Networks has been taking us on a Christmas high this season! The Christmas Lottery features a dad (Reginald VelJohnson) who wins a $10 million dollar lottery. He then informs his three daughters to mend their relationships with each other to get their cut.

WATCH TWO. #WBWD Tom Hanks is back on screen in News of The World, a gritty western. Set five years after the Civil War, he plays Capt. Jefferson Kyle Kidd, who travels the south reading newspapers to townsfolk. It’s on one of these excursions he encounters a young girl. She had been kidnapped but humanely raised by Native Americans, but is once again orphaned. His task? Get this young girl with German roots to the only family she has left. This film takes a moment to get into, but once it gets rolling, it becomes an action-adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Mr. Hanks can do no wrong in our book — if we had to pick anyone to be our surrogate daddy he’d be one of the names at the top of our list! This isn’t a tale of African-Americans during that time, though there are a few dramatic references to the fact that life was not easy nor kind for our people after the war. But it’s interesting to see how other cultures dealt with life after the promise of freedom, as we all try to achieve our American Dream., now playing in socially-distanced theaters.
