Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead Gets A New Look

We’re so excited for the culturally diverse remake of Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. Here’s the plot: Tanya Crandell (Simone Joy Jones) can’t wait to spend the summer living it up with her friends in Spain before heading to Howard University in the fall. But when her mom decides to head to a much-needed wellness retreat in Thailand, Tanya is forced to stay home with her three siblings instead. Following the unexpected death of their elderly babysitter, Tanya gets a job working for the confident and ambitious Rose (Nicole Richie). She now has to juggle work, family, and a complicated romance! Tapping into the universal theme of family and “adulting,” this remake is for everyone! In theaters today.

Latasha Henderson grew up styling looks for her mom on every occasion – even when she was heading to the doctor! She grew up repurposing and styling hand-me-downs, with a specific emphasis on plus-size styling. She was a contestant on Project Runway S15 and describes herself as an “eclectic” stylist. One of the hallmarks of her style ethos is mixing unexpected colors and patterns, and she makes a point to style everyone, from terminally ill folks determined to feel their most beautiful to high-end models.

Tamron’s Up-and-Coming Stylist Series: Talented and Rising Stars in the world of Hair and Fashion with  Isaac Davidson. Isaac Davidson is a New York-based hair stylist who specializes in extensions and wigs, especially in the context of drag and the queer community. He does everything from cutting to coloring to styling. His influence comes from his time working on Broadway productions, where he mastered the art of unique and extravagant hairstyles – a skill he now showcases in his work with avant-garde visual artists around the city and prominent Drag Queens.

And The Tatum Twins. Tamela Clarke and Miko Tatum, better known as The Tatum Twins, are the dynamic stylist duo of Detroit taking the world of fashion and beauty by storm. With their full-service salon that offers head-to-toe pampering from full glam makeup to fashion styling for any and every event, Tamela and Miko say that their passion for styling is in their blood…literally! “Our grandmother had a passion for makeup and always made sure she looked her “Sunday best” for church. And our grandfather was a skilled tailor! Styling allows us to unleash our creativity and tell deeply personal stories…one incredible, confidence-boosting look at a time!”
