SEE. Gals, it’s time to pull out your mini-fans ’cause Chocolate City is open for business today! In this sexy African-American film, inspired by Magic Mike, Michael (Robert Ri’chard) takes a job as an exotic dancer to make ends meet. Vivica A. Fox, who plays his mom, tells us, “she’s kind of the church lady. Michael is her pride — the one to go to college. She’s totally in the dark about his career, and she’s concerned that he’s getting caught up in the streets.” Vivica says her character shouldn’t worry though, “She’ll be a little tickled (he’s a dancer) because her son is hot!” Chippendale resident Tyson Beckford, Michael Jai White and Ginuwine also star. So just how great are Robert’s abs? We could tell you, but we’re sure you’d rather see for yourself. Check out the video below from Movie Gal Brittany McCarthy, who attended the premiere here in NYC!
SEE TOO. The DivaGals also got a sneak peek at the new action film Tomorrowland, inspired by the ride at Disneyland parks. In the movie we learn that it’s not just an attraction spot, but a secret society designed to build a better tomorrow. Only it’s been a while since anyone with the heart to dream has visited, that is until a gifted teenager comes along. The visually fun ride makes up for the movie’s slightly-off pacing. And we loved Keegan-Michael Key‘s cameo as a shop owner who knows a lot more about that cool Tomorrowland pin than he’s willing to let on. Oh yeah, and “White Boy We Dig” George Clooney is in it too! Opens nationwide today.
