Bob Marley: One Love

This new biopic, sanctioned by the Marley family, tells the love of Bob and Rita Marley, who both survived an attempted assassination and went on to create Exodus, one of Marley’s greatest albums. Our pals at EBONY share how the film’s stars, ‎Kingsley Ben-Adir and ‎Lashana Lynch, brought the Marley love story to screen.

Madame Web

Cassandra Webb (Dakota Johnson) is a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future and with that knowledge, realizes she can change it. Webb forms a friendship with three young women, including Mattie Franklin, played by Celeste O’Connor, who help her change the world.

The DivaGals felt like a superwoman (plus one man) at Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys‘ special preview and reception at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City. Along with taking in the expansiveness of their private art collection on display, we spotted the super couple themselves. The collection is open to the public through July 7, 2024.

The Whitney Museum of American Art annual Art Party was a botanical-inspired event this year, with co-chairs Natalie Ball, Edward Barsamian, Steven Beltrani, Micaela Erlanger and Kambui Olujimi. Partygoers were entertained with DJ sets by indie pop duo MGMT and Samantha Urbani. One of the American contemporary art institution’s upcoming exhibitions is Edges of Ailey, the first large-scale museum exhibition to reflect on the life, work, and legacy of visionary artist Alvin Ailey.
