Paws Of Fury: The Legend Of Hank Teaches Tolerance

There’s a very clever lesson hidden in the new film Paws Of Fury. It’s about learning to accept others, not in spite of their differences but because their differences can bring us all in harmony. This lesson is told through the adventures of a hard-on-his-luck hound Hank (Michael Cera) who finds himself assigned to be the Samauri of a town full of cats, even though the townspeople hate dogs! Turns out it’s part of an evil leader’s plot to wipe their village off the map. Hank works with a reluctant mentor (Samuel L. Jackson), who has a shocking past of his own. While it may first be about the swords and glory, Hank soon learns it’s really about believing in something worth fighting for. The movie also stars George Takei, Aasif Mandvi, Gabriel Iglesias, Djimon Hounsou as Sumo (pictured above), Michelle Yeoh, Kylie Kuioka, Cathy Shim and Mel Brooks. It’s a high-energy flick with a lot of subtle jokes that will make adult viewers giggle. On that note, this film may not be suitable for the smallest kids as there are mentions of death and violence. Take your kung-fu-loving nephew who’s seven and over.

Zombies 3: An Out-This-World Farewell

Zombies 3 is the third and final installment in the Disney film trilogy. The newest faces in Seabrook are aliens! There’s no shortage of singing, dancing and accepting as Zed, Addison and pals get ready to head to college as they get to know these new blue-haired strangers. This may be the end of Zombies as we know it, but we’re rooting for a new age of Zombies: The College Edition!
