WATCH. Ever wondered what turned iconic character Norman Bates a little Psycho? A&E is out to tell how it all began with its new series Bates Motel. Norman (Freddie Highmore) is a teenager living with his devoted mama in a broken down hotel. As the new guy, girls in town taking a liking to Norman (maybe as a novelty), which puts him at odds with mama. Signs of the destruction to come? You’ll have to watch to find out. Be forewarned, there is a very disturbing scene of sexual violence in the premiere episode. TV DivaGal gives the series a big thumbs down for that. Bates Motel premieres Monday, March 18 at 10 p.m. on A&E.
