GAL APPROVED Weekend Edition: FWB, Summer Playlists & Richard Gere’s Summer Getaway Spot

SEE. Friends With Benefits. Yeah, we know that’s we’ve already seen this plot played out with Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. But this is definitely the edgier version, as soulful singer Justin Timberlake hooks up with sexy “It” girl Mila Kunis (I’m still cringing over her love scene with Portman in Black Swan!). Brought together by a job prospect, Justin and Mila’s characters decide it’s right to do the nasty without any consequences, but that’s just a fallacy since there are always consequences when you’re knocking boots. According to our “Curvy Girl” correspondent Patti, there are some “sweet, honest moments among the lewdness”; the dialogue is “rapid fire, and the jokes come quickly”; and the strong supporting cast makes the film, especially Woody Harrelson, who is “super funny.” For our “Style Your Guy” fashionistas, Patti says keep your eye out for Justin’s wardrobe: “Caramel-colored suede bucks worn with a pale gray suit and with jeans, it’s very J.Crew.,” she shares. “But the best was the tie clip he wore in several scenes. I haven’t seen a true tie clip worn the correctly since my Dad!” Friends With Benefits opens nationwide today.

VISIT: The DivaGals love a stay-cation. That’s why a 45-minute drive to Bedford, N.Y. is a great, easy way to escape the city heat. Of course, we’re booking our stay at Bedford Post. The inn offers eight rooms that still offer the rustic feel of the building’s original late 19th century design, coupled with modern amenities like Frette linens, heated marble bathroom floors and flat screen TVs. The trip will be in vain if you don’t book a meal at the Farmhouse, one of the two restaurants located on the property. Executive chef Jeremy McMillian laughs when we ask him his favorite dishes on the menu. “It’s like picking your favorite child,” he jokes, but declares that the wood-grilled beef drizzled with roasted bone marrow and the pasta with crescenza cheese and baby zucchini are especially delicious, which must be topped off with Jeremy’s signature twist on strawberry shortcake. We called ahead, and they still have a few tables available for brunch. The Inn at Bedford Post is hosting a summer midweek special through August: $295 per night for a petit queen room and $395 for a queen deluxe. Feeling truly decadent? Splurge for a California king deluxe ($550 per night), which features a soaking tub, fireplace and private terrace. You may just spot the lord of the manor, Richard Gere, walking the grounds from your perch.
