WATCH. The BET Awards 12 airs live tonight on BET and from all the emails we’ve been getting, it’s going to be “Too Big Too Miss”! Our own Entertainment Gal will be covering the festivities live from Los Angeles tonight, so stay tuned for her tweets @EntertainmentDG! The 2012 BET Awards air┬á Sunday, July 1 at 8 p.m. on BET.

SAFE. LetΓÇÖs talk about sexΓǪ and making it super fun and in sync. That was the idea behind Durex‘s ΓÇ£Get In SyncΓÇ¥ party in New York City last week. Real-life lovebirds: DJ M.O.S. and DJ Kiss took to the turntables to play some heart-pounding mood music while special guest Ice T and Coco hung in the VIP section with engaged Bachelorette couple J.P. Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert ΓÇô no doubt they were getting boot-knocking tips from T and his booty-licious wife!

SAVOR. Even when you are dieting you still want something that satisfies that need to “crunch.” Voila: Crunchies Freeze-Dried Roasted Veggies or Fruit. There are no additives, no preservatives, no added sugar, no oil and, get this one!, no sulphur. They are wheat free, gluten free, and GMO free, but rich in fiber and a great source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C. At only 100 calories per 1/2 cup, we can get our crunch on!

CELEBRATE: It’s time to celebrate the Independence Day of our neighbors to the North: Canada! After all, we share a border and a love for cocktails. Here is one we discovered at the Canada Day bash held in New York City. VIP guests included actor Christian Campbell, Food Network stars Kevin Brauch of the Thirsty Traveller and the team from Iron Chef America.

The Canadian Whisper
1.5 oz Victoria Gin
.5 oz Forty Creek Whisky
organic cage free egg whites
Canadian Maple Syrup + vanilla bean reduction
2  Raspberries
Caramelized lemon wheel garnish

Muddle two raspberries in a shaker. Add egg whites, lemon juice and syrup. Add gin, whiskey and ice, shake hard. Serve with a decorative lemon wedge.

Our personal favorite was the Ice Cap created by Steve Shaw and Jennifer Gammone. Its made with Canadian Iceberg Vodka. A refreshing mixture of Iceberg Vodka, Canadian Icewine, and Cranberry Juice. Yum!

If this doesn’t satisfy you taste for all things Canadian and you’re in NYC on Sunday July 1, hit Joe’s Pub for a fun bash featuring the Great Canadian songbook: “Oh, Canada!” Here’s the link with more details.
