GAL APPROVED Weekend: Gabbing with Gabby; What Boys Think and Kitties Take the Field!
By DIVAGALS | January 31, 2014 | Entertainment, Gal ApprovedSEE. As a single gal, TV DivaGal often wonders what guys are thinking when the courting begins. Is he envisioning our future together? Will he tell his friends about me? Was he just about getting into my pants? That Awkward Moment aims to answer some of those up-all-night queries. An unexpected break-up for Mickey (played by a VERY chiseled Michael B. Jordan), a 20-something doctor, leads him and his two best pals (Zac Efron and Miles Teller) to make a pact to stay singleΓǪ which of course leads to mayhem when they meet their dream gals. So what have we learned? Find the trio of bros who have made a pact to stay single and then snag one for yourself! Luxury Gal, who is married, says the film is informative on how boys talk and act when girls aren’t around. “Finally a romantic comedy that you won’t have to drag your boyfriend/husband to. He’ll love the off-color humor and silly situations, and you’ll enjoy the cute path that leads to love,” she adds. Indeed, her hubby giggled throughout the film. Plus there’s lots of fun fashions to inspire even the sloppiest of boyfriends, and plenty of cool NYC locations that may make him to book a romantic trip for two to the Big Apple. That Awkward Moment opens nationwide Jan. 31.
VISIT. Speaking of cool NYC spots… The only thing better than sitting at the table of your favorite Italian restaurant is being at the re-grand opening of your favorite Italian restaurant! The DivaGals’ special guest Regan Farley got a chance to do just that at the restaurant preview of┬áSofia Italian Grill in midtown Manhattan. The main room boasts great lighting, a roomy bar area and family-style table settings, which make for the perfect ambiance. From fine wines to classic succulent┬ámeatball dishes, we were able to get our fair share of good eats, nestled at our VIP table in a private dining area. Friendly and handsome wait staff and large rooms for private dinners give Sofia Italian Grill an A-plus on the DivaGals approval scale!
TASTE. Trying to get more veggies in your diet? How about going raw? While that may seem like taking it to the extreme, raw food gurus Cherie Soria and Dan Ladermann made a very convincing case at the health and wellness seminar in New York City last month. Adopting a raw, vegan lifestyle ΓÇô where nothing is cooked over 115 degrees, can transform your life with the benefits of weight loss, reduction of disease and more abundant energy. Not sure where to begin? The cutie couple has written the book Raw Food for Dummies (though they like to say for the smart person, since eating raw makes sense), with tips and recipes. Our fave: just start eating the rainbow. With veggies and fruits of every color in your system, you may just start envisioning that pot of gold!
