SEE. Patty On Site caught the reunion of Goodie Mob with The Voice‘s CeeLo Green, and got to hear a few tunes off their new album, Age Against the Machine. If you haven’t seen their latest video for their hit single, “Special Edition,” check it out here. And make sure you read Patty’s play-by-play of their post VMA-concert, along with her tips to conquering Brooklyn style!
SMOOTH. After having my virgin hair processed for the first time a year ago, my hair was never the same. The texture had dramatically changed to brittle, dry and volumeless. After deciding to give it a reboot with some deep treatment, a friend recommended Salon Series by Ouidad Omega 3 Replenishing Hair Treatment, followed by Matrix Biolage  Advanced Keratindose shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels more revitalized then ever! With just one usage of these products, my hair is smooth, shiny and smells marvelous. Definitely Gal Approved!
SLATHER. IΓÇÖm an Asian gal who loves being dark — one of those chicks who totally Jersey Shore-d it and spent hundreds of dollars at the tanning salon. I used to do the ΓÇ£cocktailΓÇ¥ where I tanned under a bed, and then got a spray tan over it ΓÇÿcause thereΓÇÖs nothing sexier than having a tanned, toned body. Except for not dealing with UVA rays and skin burns — enter St. Tropez Self Tan Mousse. This stuff is next level. You pump a generous amount of this mousse on your sponge applicator and work downwards. Start with your legs (at your knees), and then work your way down to your toes (donΓÇÖt forget to get your toes!). You will see your pale skin turn into this luscious golden brown color immediately, thrilling! IΓÇÖve been using this product for weeks now, and I can safely say that I will never find myself in a tanning booth ever again. Heavenly!
SIP. Got a group of gals over at the house for an episode of So You Think You Can Dance? (The season finale begins Tuesday, Sept. 3 on Fox.) YouΓÇÖre gonna want libations. The DivaGals recommend the Mirza Ghalib White – Viognier from Sufi Wines. This semi-sweet, fruity wine, designed to complement Indian dishes,┬á goes down smooth and easy, leaving you light enough to feel that you could be thrown effortlessly in the air by Travis Wall.
SNACK. I love a good crunchy cracker. But I’m not jazzed about the bloatiness I sometimes feel after a noshing on a few – one of the aftermaths of a gluten-sensitive tummy. Not the case with Crunchmaster gluten-free crisps. They come in a variety of flavors; our fave are the Cinnamon & Sugar Grammy Crisps. A sweet, and bloat-free treat!
