GAL APPROVED Weekend: Joshua Jackson Is the Best Boyfriend Ever! Plus, Bridal Dresses & G.I. JoeBy DIVAGALS | March 29, 2013 | Entertainment, Gal Approved
SEE. G.I. Joe: Retailation isn’t the kind of movie that you think would be on the DivaGals must-see list. But when you put Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis – three generations of hotness – on screen together, how can we possibly resist! The crew is fighting COBRA once again, this time under the command of Duke (Tatum) and his best bud Roadblock (Johnson). Things get more hectic when a threat from within the government puts these hunks’ lives in danger. The G.I. Joes team up with General Joseph Colton (Willis), the original “G.I. Joe” to kick some serious COBRA booty and remind them who’s still in charge. Lots of explosive action that your man will love – and like we said, you’ll enjoy some serious muscle man eye candy. Now playing in theaters nationwide.
SPOTTED! Could we love Joshua Jackson any more? Not only is he handsome, charming and approachable, he’s the best boyfriend ever! Joshua spent his Thursday evening at the FX Upfront Party supporting the leading lady in his life, Diane Kruger, who is starring on the new FX series The Bridge. After waiting for her to walk the 90-minute plus carpet, Joshua escorted Diane inside the party at Lucky Strikes Bowling Alley. He let her be the “star of the evening,” staying close by as Diane slipped into a pair of bowling shoes (though we’re not sure she actually took a swing!). Diane made sure her man knew he was number one, giving his shoulder a reassuring squeeze. But there was no need for the Dawson Creek alum to feel like he was on the sidelines, as throes of gals lived out there teen dreams taking pics with Joshua. And the actor’s reaction? He took it all in stride. What a guy!
DRESS. Finding the perfect wedding dress is never easy, but a search at the Martha Stewart Weddings Amsale Event sure made it fun. TV DivaGal and Luxe Gal recently stopped by the event at the famous bridal atelier’s flagship location on New York’s Madison Avenue. Between lite bites and sips of champagne, we fawned over selections from Amsale Aberra’s Fall 2013 line, which includes the stunning fit to flare gown with corseted bodice pictured above, designs embellished in crystals and plenty of princess gowns.
Looking like a million in your Amsale might call for some serious dieting, but we couldn’t help but nibble on some Butterfly Bakeshop mini cupcakes. The company offers wedding cakes that can be customized or bought a la carte. “Our goal is for the bride to have a special cake on her special day at every price point,” said Butterfly partner Stacey León. We definitely say “I do” to that! See Amsale’s full line, which includes bridal and bridesmaid wear, at www.amsale.com. See more pics of our evening on our DivaGals Facebook page.
