SWOON. Wedding dress designers Ian Stuart, Matthew Christopher and Jiovani showing bridal gowns at New York International Bridal Week? Check. Wedding dress designer Ann Taylor? Yes, the contemporary retailer has gotten into the wedding dress designer game (see above). We got a sneak peek of the upcoming Spring 2012 collection at a VIP showing in a picturesque rooftop garden on New York City’s Fifth Avenue this week. Classic silhouettes, full tulle skirts and pretty gowns that can be worn when you’re not the bride are all on the roster. Check. More pictures from NY International Bridal Week can be seen on our DivaGalsDaily Facebook page.

STRUT. DivaGals love shoes. What we don’t love is the pain they can cause while taking on New York City blocks. That why we were so glad to meet LalayJoy Williams, the mastermind behind the LalaJoy collection. The stunning designer also lives in the Big Apple, and wanted to create a shoe line that was stylish and durable enough to handle the pavement. LaylaJoy offers comfy touches like rubberized soles, extra layers of padding in the insoles and leather that has a lot of give. “They are made to take women from day to night in style and comfort,” Layla shared with us, adding, “I wanted my line to be beautiful, and something women can actually achieve.” The shoes range in price from $79-$330. We’re loving the the Paige, a studded ankle bootie currently available on the LaylaJoy site for $140. Get a sneak peek of LaylaJoy’s Spring 2012 collection in our slideshow below.

SMOKE. There’s nothing like a smoky eye. We loved the pale version we got at the premiere party for the Style Network Jerseylicious spin-off, Glam Fairy. Now our own Style Gal Nichole Dossous of sugaRushtv tells us how to achieve the look. “Sometimes a girl just needs to feel sensual and mysterious, and nothing says that like the smokey eye,” Nichole shares. “I created this simple way to get the look for the girl who may not know too much about makeup and can find it intimidating. In very simple steps, she can have this sultry stare that says ‘I want you, and I know you want me too.'” This look is done with only two colors and a good blending/fluffy brush. It’s all in the fluff with this look.
